This site exists so that you and I, the reader and the author, can get to know
    each other, to introduce you to my books, and the reasons I write them.

As you can see, my books cover a wide variety of subjects. You might wonder what is the common thread—if indeed one exists—that runs through my work.
I am drawn to people, places, and events that spark my passions, and these
    I strive to bring into my writing.
I’m fascinated by individuals who overcome great obstacles in their lives, and you’ll
    often find such characters in my work.
I greatly enjoy a good laugh, and I promise to share those with you.
I believe you should not only enjoy the reading experience, but that you should be
    left with something memorable when the last page is turned and the cover is
    closed.

Why do I write? For the same reason you read—because I love it. It’s great fun, and
    I can’t imagine a life without it.
